Newsdeck shows news from hundreds of newspapers and websites, all at once.

The news is put in columns. Each column is about one thing, like World, Sport or your city.

New stories appear by themselves. You don't need to do anything.

Scroll down inside a column to see more stories in it.

Scroll sideways to see more columns. On a phone, swipe left and right.

Tap a headline to read the full story on the newspaper's website. Each story shows a short summary from the publisher; choose Headlines only in Settings if you prefer.

If you see "+2 more from..." under a story, other newspapers wrote about the same thing. Tap it to see them.

A blue "new stories" button means fresh news arrived. Tap it to jump to the top.

On a phone, pull a column down from the top and let go to check for new stories.

This column shows stories that many news websites are writing about. The newest ones are at the top.

The red number, like "13 outlets", means 13 different news websites are writing about that story. "3 in the last hour" means it is still spreading.

Want the biggest stories on top instead? Open the column's sliders button and change Order to Biggest first.

"First reported by" tells you which website wrote about it first.

How much it looks at. To keep things quick, Breaking now compares the newest 1,500 stories from the last 6 hours across your columns. In a very big deck, older stories from those 6 hours may not count towards it.

Tap Top at the top of a column to see only the stories that two or more of its outlets are covering, the most-covered first. Tap it again for the latest stories, newest first.

Open the Breaking column's sliders button and tick Watch these subjects, for example Business and money. It then shows only big stories from those subjects. Untick everything to watch your whole deck again.

Catch up lists the biggest stories since you last looked. It opens by itself when you come back after 3 hours or more (you can switch that off), or tap Catch up in the left bar or under More.

Watchlist: in + Add column, type names like Apple, JPMorgan or a team, and press Add watchlist. The column shows every story from your other columns that mentions them.

♡ Heart: saves the story so you can read it later. Saved stories go in a Saved column.

✦ Sparkle: asks your own AI helper (like ChatGPT or Claude) to explain the story. Newsdeck copies a question for you to paste in.

🔔 Bell: follows the story. While Newsdeck is open, it tells you when more outlets pick it up. Following stops by itself after two days.

🔗 Link: copies the story's web address so you can send it to someone.

⊘ Circle with a line: hides every story from that website. You can undo this in Settings.

Tap + Add column in the left bar (on a phone, the + at the bottom).

You will see cards, sorted under headings like News, Business and money and Sport. Tap a heading at the top to jump to it.

Looking for something? Type in the Find box. It finds subjects by name, and also by a newspaper or website in them. Try "Bloomberg" or "Chiefs".

A tick means that column is already in your deck.

Tap a card to tick it (add) or untick it (remove). Then press the button at the bottom.

For NFL teams, tick the card, then tick the teams you follow. Only those teams are added.

You can also pick a city for its local news.

Run setup again (in Settings) to start from a ready-made deck: Markets and business, Politics, Local news, Arts and culture or Sports fan.

Want your own mix? Tap Build your own column and choose any newspapers or websites you like.

Tap the sliders button at the top of a column.

There you can change its name, its colour and its newspapers. You can also pause a newspaper or remove it.

Under Add a source, the first list, In this column, shows the newspapers it already has. Untick one to remove it. The Suggested sources below are a starting list of public feeds; add any of them, or add your own website or feed.

Story style: Standard, Headlines only (no summaries or pictures, the most stories on screen) or Big pictures.

For a city column, pick a different city to switch it.

Only show stories that mention: type words, and the column only shows stories with those words.

Hide stories that mention: type words you never want to see.

On a computer, grab a column by its name at the top and drag it left or right.

You can also drag the names in the left bar up or down.

Click a name in the left bar to jump straight to that column.

Or open Edit columns (in the left bar, or under More on a phone): move columns up or down, or remove one with two taps.

Tap Search and type what you are looking for.

Stories appear while you type. Newsdeck looks through all its newspapers.

Tap "Keep following..." to turn your search into its own column that keeps finding new stories.

Before you type, Trending now shows the five stories the most outlets are covering.

Tap + Add column, then choose a city under Add a weather column. Or choose My location.

If your phone or computer doesn't share your location, Newsdeck uses your approximate area instead and tells you which one.

The column shows the weather now, the next 12 hours and the next 7 days.

Tap "Show in °C" or "Show in °F" to switch.

Go to Settings, then Appearance.

Light is always light. Dark is always dark. Auto follows your phone or computer.

A deck is a whole set of columns. You can have more than one, like one for work and one for fun.

Tap Deck in the left bar to switch decks or make a new one.

Open Newsdeck in your phone's web browser.

Tap Share (iPhone) or the menu (Android), then Add to Home Screen.

Now Newsdeck has its own icon and opens like an app.

Sometimes a news website is busy or doesn't let Newsdeck in. That's not your fault.

Newsdeck keeps trying by itself. You still see the stories it already has.

To see which newspapers are working, tap the column's sliders button.
