About Newsdeck

Newsdeck is an Oppwise product. Oppwise is a Sirius Capital Group LLC company ("SCG"). Newsdeck is a news reader: it shows headlines and short summaries from publicly available feeds and links to the original articles on the publishers' own sites.

Terms of use

Provided as is. Newsdeck is provided "as is" and "as available", and you use it at your own discretion and risk. Oppwise and its parent company, Sirius Capital Group LLC, make no warranties, express or implied, regarding performance, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability or outcomes.

Third-party content. Headlines, summaries, images and articles belong to their publishers. Newsdeck does not write, edit, verify or endorse them and is not responsible for their content or for any source's availability. Links lead to third-party websites governed by their own terms. Access to paid content is between you and the publisher.

Not advice. Nothing in Newsdeck is investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial product.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oppwise and Sirius Capital Group LLC expressly disclaim liability for any loss or damage arising from the use, misuse or unauthorized use of Newsdeck, or from reliance on any content shown in it.

Your sources. Feeds you add yourself are your choice and your responsibility. The suggested list is offered for convenience and may change at any time.

Changes. Features, sources and these terms may change or be discontinued at any time.

Privacy

Your columns, saved stories and settings are stored on your own device. Newsdeck does not ask for your name or email address and does not use advertising or tracking tools.

To load feeds, the web version requests them through the Newsdeck feed service, which sees which feed addresses are requested, as any web server does, and briefly keeps copies of public feeds so publishers are not asked repeatedly. Fonts and website icons are loaded from Google. The installed apps fetch feeds directly from your device.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property, software and content provided through Newsdeck, other than third-party news content, are the exclusive property of Sirius Capital Group LLC. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution or reverse engineering of Newsdeck or Oppwise software, branding or content is strictly prohibited.
